This thriller which premiered this weekend was #1 at the box office. Fear and stars sell Hollywood movies and Contagion had plenty of both. With the shocked faces Matt Damon and Gwyneth Paltrow and the deadly spread of this killer virus. The suspense and frightful scenes in the movie as the virus moving from person to person , city to city, country to country, infection millions, finished up #1 this weekend.
Contagion is a fiction. But it tells an effective story of why we need new vaccines, tests , drugs, and other tools to prevent, diagnose and treat diseases to prevent global health threats.
