Eddie Murphy will be hosting the 84th academy award which will be telecast Feb.26th on ABC, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Science recently made a statement. There was alot of chatter over the weekend about Murphy possibly being the choice to host the show. Many are not suprise as Murphy is starring in the upcoming film "Tower Heist". "Tower Heist" is set to open in November.
Many feel that Murphy was the best choice as the academy is now able to return to its original comedic roots. Brett Ratner who is producing the show said, "Eddie is a comedic genius one of the greatest and most influential live performers ever."
