Cataleya(Amandla Stenberg)-named for a Columbian orchard-plays witness her parents murdered by mobsters. She escapes by kniffing one, and outrunning the others. Then she hooks up with her uncle,Cliff Curtis a gangsta in Chicago.

15 years later, Cataleya(now Saldana) works with Emilio, as a professional hit woman. But in her personal time, it is personal. She seeks vengence against the people responsible for her parents murder. Besides the bullets, explosions, the movie also shows a different side to Saldana. Zoe, makes her character more complex and sympathetic and portrays the internal conflict of her mission.
